From Gdynia to Gdansk there is a city train. From ferry you should take a bus and than train. It shouldn't take more than 1 hour. Biggest shopping center is at Gdansk Wrzeszcz station. Gdansk Glowny is main station, close to old town. And Sopot is quite nice - there are lots of pubs and discos.
